I have been in healthcare for more than 10 years and it all started with my time working at the Ronald Mcdonald House of Dallas. The 3 years I had with this amazing organization helped me see that a patient focused approach was not always the best. Those who are sick are not the only ones affected by an illness. It is those closest to the patients and those who are caring for them that are in need as well. I went form the Ronald Mcdonald House to a 5 year career as an EMT where I learned that I thrive in the care of those in emergent need. I not only provide medical care, but emotional support for family and friends getting some of the worst news of their lives. Ultimately, my healthcare path has led me into the emergency department as a trauma nurse, PALS, ACLS, and BLS provider. I have had the pleasure of working with patients from infancy to geriatric age and their family/friends. I provide the highest quality care and emotional support to patients and family alike. They are all included in what we call healthcare and I believe that to help the patient is to help those closest to them as well.
