What We Do

Stop The Aching, Throbbing Pain From Interstitial Cystitis Today

IC causes chronic bladder inflammation, which can result in bladder and pelvic pain as well as lead to frequent and sometimes painful urination. IC has been known to cause patients to urinate up to 50 or 60 times a day, which is incredibly debilitating.

In fact, research has suggested that the effect it has on one’s quality of life is comparable to that of a patient suffering from cancer-related pain or kidney dialysis.

Unfortunately, it’s also a more common condition than you might think – it’s estimated that roughly three to eight million women and one to four million men suffer from IC in the U.S. However, if you suffer from chronic pain caused by IC, there is hope.

With our protocol, not only can you obtain long-term relief from chronic pain, but you can also start to enjoy life again without having to worry about the constant urge to urinate.

  • Constantly having the urge to urinate
  • Painful urination
  • Using painkillers for chronic pain and cramps
  • Fear of embarrassment
  • Limitations to your social life
  • Living life without pain
  • Enjoying a social life without fear of embarrassment
  • Going out without having to use the bathroom constantly
  • Using the bathroom without experiencing pain
  • Being intimate with a partner without fear of experiencing pain

What Causes Pain From Interstitial Cystitis?

IC is one of many conditions referred to as “painful bladder syndrome.” The purpose of the bladder is to store urine. It expands until it is full. At that point, it signals to your brain via the pelvic nerve that it’s time to urinate. IC causes these signals to get mixed up, resulting in the urge to urinate even when your bladder isn’t full.

In addition, because of how inflamed the bladder wall can become, it can contract and cause pain even when no urine is present. Besides pelvic and bladder pain, this can also cause pain during sex.

The exact cause of IC is unknown; however, several factors may contribute to the condition. For example, a defect in the bladder’s protective lining could allow toxic substances to enter the bladder, leading to inflammation and pain. Other potential factors include bladder infections, allergies, and autoimmune reactions.

Chronic pain disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and fibromyalgia, are also known to be risk factors for IC. Additionally, some evidence suggests that there could be a hereditary influence.

Neuragenex NFPM For Interstitial Cystitis Pain

We believe it is essential to treat IC pain holistically to provide lasting, long-term relief. That’s why we take a neurofunctional pain management approach to address the underlying causes of pain associated with IC.

Our protocol is designed to correct abnormal nerve signaling, improve bladder function, and reduce inflammation to provide lasting relief from IC pain.

As such, we implement several pain management strategies, including electroanalgesia, IV therapy, and lifestyle counseling, all of which are effective at providing long-term results. Additionally, our approach allows us to avoid the use of potentially risky treatment solutions, such as:

  • Pain medications: Painkillers may provide temporary pain relief, but they don’t address the underlying causes of your pain. Not to mention, they can be addictive and come with a host of potentially serious side effects.
  • Invasive procedures: Invasive procedures, such as surgery, tend to be expensive and can lead to various physical complications. Additionally, they can cause significant emotional stress, and there’s no guarantee they will be 100% effective.
  • Chiropractic treatment: Chiropractic care is risky and has been known to lead to further physical damage. On top of that, there’s no scientific evidence that it can provide effective pain relief for patients with IC.

Electroanalgesia For Interstitial Cystitis Pain in Anthem, Arizona

Neuragenex NFPM utilizes a cutting-edge treatment known as electroanalgesia, an FDA-cleared technology designed to help patients with chronic pain. This non-invasive treatment works by stimulating the nerves in the bladder and pelvic region using an electric current. This current helps to:

  • Release endorphins: The body’s natural pain-fighting hormones help reduce inflammation and provide pain relief.
  • Block pain signals: By blocking the transmission of pain signals from the bladder to the brain, you can experience relief from IC symptoms.
  • Reduce muscle spasms: Electroanalgesia can help relax the muscles in the bladder and pelvic region, which can then reduce painful spasms.

Although electroanalgesia might seem similar to TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), the two treatments are different. TENS is designed to provide short-term pain relief using low-pulse currents.

Electroanalgesia treatment is capable of providing long-lasting pain relief due to the use of high-pulse currents. To be as effective as possible, we recommend two sessions of electroanalgesia therapy a week for 12 weeks as part of Neuragenex NFPM.

IV Therapy For Interstitial Cystitis Pain in Anthem, Arizona

Intravenous (IV) therapy is an effective, non-invasive treatment option for patients with IC. This method of therapy involves delivering a blend of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream intravenously. This enables your body to absorb the vitamins and minerals quickly, allowing you to experience the benefits almost immediately.

IV therapy is particularly beneficial for IC patients because the combination of nutrients and fluids helps to reduce inflammation, thereby relieving IC pain. Additionally, IV therapy effectively replenishes your body’s depleted nutrient stores, allowing it to heal and repair itself more quickly.

Our IV therapy is tailored to your individual needs to maximize the efficacy. To achieve this, we evaluate each patient’s individual bloodwork to determine what combination of fluids and nutrients will be the most beneficial.

Lifestyle Counseling For Interstitial Cystitis Pain in Anthem, Arizona

We understand that treating IC pain is about more than just providing medical care. It’s also important to consider the larger picture by addressing any lifestyle issues that could be contributing to your symptoms. That’s why Neuragenex NFPM includes lifestyle counseling services for all our patients with IC.

Our team of counselors will work with you to develop an individualized plan that takes into account all aspects of your life. This could include identifying triggers that worsen your symptoms, such as certain foods or psychological stresses, and then creating strategies to help you avoid them.
