My name is Patricia and everybody calls me Pat, and I’m from Atlanta, Georgia. I suffer from fibromyalgia. During that time, my shoulders were hurting. My neck was hurting. I mean aching. And I was just like burning all inside of my shoulders, and especially at night or getting brain fog or you know, just tender spots all over the body there’s tender spots.

Yeah, I’ve had fibromyalgia since probably in my 20s, and I’m in my 70s now. But, the epidurals, they helped to quiet it down, the pain. But the pain seems to never, like, completely go away. Or if it does, it will go away for maybe two months or three months, and then, the next thing you know, that burning sensation just comes back.

It’s like a burning, hot, soreness. And it’s your shoulders. And also, it’s the back of your neck on both sides. Right on there. And also, it’s your side of your thighs, like that. It’s just very uncomfortable, it makes you feel so fatigued and tired. You get tired and just aching all day and all the fatigue. You don’t sleep well either, just sleeping is broken up. And when you wake up, you don’t get any refreshing sleep.

Medication, my view on medication, because I didn’t want to get back on medication for it. It wasn’t really helping, plus it had too many side effects, the medication. But I don’t want to get back on any more pills.

This treatment is about one hour long. And while I was getting the treatment, I was on my iPad. I was paying bills and playing games. Just relaxing. And for the first treatment, I didn’t pay any attention. Then about the second treatment, I started noticing my shoulder was not hurting at night. And so I said, there might be something here. So, I kept coming.

She gave me a pillow. I relaxed. And then I just relax and, you know, [I’m] talking to other people sometimes. We’d carry on a conversation. Everybody looks so happy. Like, it makes you feel like, getting up doing things, you know, around the house.

Like, when I had my treatments, I usually don’t like going to the grocery store. But I just go to the grocery store, you know. Then, go home and cook. And that’s not like me.

Why not?

Because I didn’t feel like it. I really thought I had an attitude a little bit because I just didn’t feel good.

It doesn’t hurt. But it has, It’s like a TENS unit turned 50 or something. And, since I’ve been coming here, which has been about six weeks, I haven’t been having that constant pain. So, I finished that program and I just don’t have that aching pain anymore, like I was having.

Yes, I feel good. They really brought the pain down. And for right now, I don’t feel aching at my shoulders. That was the main thing, the neck and shoulders area. That’s what I really came here for. I did the whole thing for fibromyalgia, but this was really aggravating. But now, I can’t remember the last time I’ve ached like that before since I’ve been coming.

So now, I’m here for something else. I want to work on my lower back now. And the people are so friendly. And it’s pain-free, you know. It’s pain-free. So I like the person here. They’re very friendly. They all want you to get better and to feel better. So, I would say, if you want to feel better, you know just overall well-being, especially from fibromyalgia, I recommend them.

And my joints are not aching and sleeping better too, really, sleeping better. I would say I was feeling like my old younger self. You know, we’re going to have all the aches and pains and all of that. Yeah, it helped, it really did. I’m glad.

Oh, I made the right choice. Yeah, I sure did. I made the right choice. I said, “I have fibromyalgia, but my pain is gone”. I’d just say, you’re just not aching, you’re just not in pain.
