What It Is
Neurofunctional Pain Management (NFPM) is a treatment protocol built around high-frequency electrical stimulation, delivered transcutaneously through soft electrode pads placed at the site of pain. It has been FDA cleared for over thirty years and is well documented in peer-reviewed literature.
How It Works
Chronic pain often persists because the peripheral nervous system continues sending pain signals long after tissue injury has resolved. NFPM interrupts this cycle. High-frequency electrical stimulation delivered at specific parameters produces sustained neuromodulatory effects, distinct from the transient masking of a standard TENS unit. The vast majority of Relatyv patients are covered by Traditional Medicare and pay nothing out of pocket for treatment. We also accept cash pay for all other insurances, such as, Medicare Advantage, commercial insurances, and more.
